OpenShelf Audio is a free listening site for public-domain audiobooks. The audio files come from LibriVox volunteers and are streamed from the Internet Archive. LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. We do not host, copy or sell the audio files.
We do not require accounts and we do not ask for personal information. Your listening position for each book is saved only in your own browser (local storage) so you can resume later. It is never sent to us.
If this site shows advertising (for example Google AdSense), the ad provider may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com. If analytics tools are added, they may collect anonymous usage data such as pages viewed and approximate location.
Some links on this site are affiliate or sponsored links. If you click one and sign up or buy, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This does not affect which free audiobooks we show.
This site links to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
All audiobooks available here are public-domain recordings. If you believe something appears here in error, please contact us and we will review it promptly.
